The EyesOn Design event is an auto exhibition judged exclusively by automotive designers, collectors, manufacturers, suppliers, and open to the general public. On June 19, 2022 don’t miss “Designed For Speed” at Edsel & Eleanor Ford House, Grosse Pointe, Michigan. This elite expo will feature over 200 race cars. All automobiles were chosen by invitation only, and George Haddad of Fabulous Restorations is honored to attend and display both notables, his 1966 #6 Penske Prototype L88 and 1969 #6 Owens Corning L88 Corvette racecar recreation. EyesOn Design receives its support from domestic and foreign vehicle manufacturers, as well as automotive suppliers and other loyal companies to benefit the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology.

SVRA 2022 Sebring

Sportscar Vintage Racecar Association, SVRA, is one of the oldest organizations in vintage racing, and the only one with a national presence. Competitors and fans will gather together in Florida at Sebring International Raceway, February 24th - 27th, 2022. Fabulous Restorations and its entourage of racecar enthusiasts will be there to meet and greet the fans. On display, we will feature the Fabulous 1966 #6 Penske Prototype L88 and 1969 #6 Owens Corning L88 Corvette racecar recreations, and Dan Barr’s 1989 #9 Corvette Challenge and Phil Curran’s 1963 #99 Split-Window Corvette racecars.

Vettes'N'Coffee

Scott Teeters, Vette Views Magazine writer and world renowned automotive artist (his original “Penske” art above), is organizing a COVID Relief Caravan with members of his Highlands County – Lake Placid Corvette Club, Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Fabulous Restorations, Fort Lauderdale. Owner, George Haddad, says, “when Florida’s major automobile events are postponed it’s a perfect time to come on down. I’ll show you around the shop, check out several projects under restoration and we’ll have a Vette packed morning including coffee and doughnuts. Please mask-up and RSVP 954-462-9427.

THE '66 CORVETTE CHALLENGE

It’s not often an out of state NCRS member visits our shop, but this was different. Pat Cavanaugh from the Oklahoma Chapter NCRS was a man on a business and pleasure mission. Hearing about our Fabulous Corvettes he had to see them in person as a proud recipient of the coveted NCRS Top Flight Award (97.8) for his 1964 Corvette Fuelie (see photo above). He was so moved by our product that he created an informative article for “The Side Pipe,” Oklahoma NCRS Newsletter. Corvette fans, here’s the complete story by Mr.Cavanaugh. Thanks, Pat.

CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE 2020

Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance at The Ritz Carlton attracted thousands amid a crisp March weekend in Northeastern Florida. Many thanks to our host, Pete Doriguzzi, Heacock Classic Car Insurance, who invited us to display The Penske and Owens Corning Race Cars. Gib Hufstader, Kevin Mackay, Randy Wittine, Walt Thurn, Jan Hyde, Lance Miller, Ken Lingenfelter, John Cafaro, chief designer of the C-6 and Tom Hill, retired Corvette Quality Control Manager, Bowling Green, gave us their support during this prestigious Spring event.

The Fabulous Penske Race Car Re-Creation made a big splash at the HSR 24 Hour Classic in Daytona, November 13-17, 2019.
