Zora Inducted into MSHFA

March 6 & 7th, 2023, Daytona Beach, Florida: “Father of the Corvette,” Zora Duntov, was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.

Fabulous Restorations owner, George Haddad, assembled a distinguished group of Corvette race car legends to attend the 2-day event; all followed Zora’s lead into Corvette racing, and for this special occasion they formed a Symposium of keynote speakers focused on Zora, his racing accomplishments and love for the Corvette. There were many questions from the audience, seemingly more than the panelists had time to handle, but they did well and managed to reveal monumental stories from Corvette's history. Nevertheless, they followed protocol like faithful GM designers and engineers who were sworn to competitive manufacturing secrecy.

It was Zora who opened everyone’s eyes to high-performance Corvettes. Ultimately his dream was to develop a mid-engine Corvette. Today it is here, and if it wasn’t for Zora there wouldn’t be a Corvette. He was quite the “Vette Whisperer.”
