Here’s Austrian race car driver for BMW • Red Bull, Dieter Quester’s 1956 Olds 88 Convertible (Fabulous Restorations built the Continental Kit [among other things!]).

Dieter first raced in the 1969 German Grand Prix and participated in 53, 24-Hour Races. He competed in a single Formula One race and finished ninth.  On January 15, 2006, he won the 24 Hours race at the Dubai Autodrome on a BMW M3 together with Hans-Joachim Stuck, Philipp Peter and Toto Wolff. Stuck and Quester returned in the 24 Hours Nürburgring, but their BMW was destroyed in a crash at night that involved an oil spill and seven cars. During the weekend of September 9–10, 2006, Dieter won the Britcar 24 Hours of Silverstone in a Duller Motorsport BMW MZ4, and on January 14, 2007 he again won the 24 Hours race at the Dubai Autodrome in the Duller Motorsport BMW Z4. In September 2007 he and Duller won the 24 Hours of Silverstone in the Duller BMW Z4, by a margin of 30 laps.

Whenever Dieter's toolin’ around Fort Lauderdale wave hello as he cruises by in his merry Oldsmobile.  He’s just another FABulous Customer! By the way, Dieter was born May 30th, 1939 and it's certainly a pleasure having such a brilliant man around to talk shop.

Author, former GM engineer and NCRS Member, Ken Kayser purchased The Flint Flyer and recently entrusted it to Fabulous Restorations for mechanical servicing to its original race form of the 60's.

Concours d'Elegance 2014 in Amelia Island, Florida started out a little iffy. It rained the entire week leading up to the show. It was unseasonably cool as well, but on Friday, March 7th the tide turned as the Classic Car Gods reigned warm sunshine upon an excellent weekend at one of the hottest events on the "Right Side" of the USA! The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island hosted this year's show that celebrated the 50th year of McLaren, March 6-9, 2014.

Complimentary to the beautiful fairway of The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort Golf Course was The Festivals of Speed where exotic automobiles, motorcycles and watercraft were on display, Saturday March 8th. George Haddad's Fabulous Restorations entries were stunning enough to walk away with 4 beautiful trophies of various classifications for best in show.

Many car enthusiasts were on hand to talk shop and see the magnificent workmanship of Fabulous Restorations and Fabulous Corvettes, Home of the FC 6 Super Vette.

It was a Fabulous Restorations weekend at the Old Towne Corvette Show, the 37th Annual NCRS Winter Meet 2014 in Kissimmee, Florida. Fabulous Restorations featured 7 beautiful Vettes - 3 SuperCars from the FAB-vault sporting the FC 6 Badge VIEW MORE PICS and a recently completed 1957 Chevy Nomad - what an attention grabber - courtesy Michael Savino who was thrilled to show off his cool ride after its 2-year FAB-makeover.

Always a welcome visitor, GM Corvette engineer, Bill Tower, presented a thumbs up to the new Fabulous SuperCars and a new guy on the turf, International race car driver Jose Cruz also expressed his approval of the FC 6 Vette.  He's looking forward to an adrenaline rush after an awesome spin in one.

Many thanks to everyone who attended the show and stopped by the Fabulous Restorations booth to talk story. Now, it's onto the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance.

The shop's buzzin' with several restoration projects and we're making progress through the Holidays in great form. Those ready for delivery will become the wanted, most deserved gift while others will continue the pursuit of perfection in typical Fabulous Restorations style.

Have you seen The Fabulous Corvette Collection? Just click on the banner, top left and check out the FC 6 Stock - LS 2 Hand-Built, the latest application of The Fabulous Restorations Aero Kit. Call Fabulous owner, George Haddad, to get the finer details and visit our space at the 36th Annual Florida Chapter NCRS Winter Meet, January 22-25, 2014 in Kissimmee, Florida when all the cool Fabulous Corvettes make the scene.

If Walgreens is at the corner of Healthy and Happy then Kissimmee, Florida has certainly captured the title, The Heart of America, as thousands of automobile enthusiasts packed the grounds at Old Towne to grab a beat on the pulse of an international icon, GM's Corvette. It was the 35th Annual Florida Chapter NCRS Winter Meet, January 23-26, 2013. There were tons of gorgeous cars on display and vendor parts enough to build another Motown. There were more NCRS judges and regular people judging Corvettes from both sides of the street than Chins in a Chinese phone book. Nevertheless it was great fun and the weather couldn't have been nicer, all for the love one American original muscle car.

It was a brilliant weekend for Fabulous Restorations as they unveiled their latest Fabulous Corvettes Ltd. project car, the FC 6 Supercharged. In a short and tense 3 months a stock 2006 C6 Corvette, owned by Herbert Paperman, was transformed into an extra special precision machine complete with an Edelbrock Supercharger and a Fabulous custom-designed, fully functional Aero Kit that electrified the crowd including the big guys from GM who attended the NCRS event.

Fabulous owner, George Haddad was greeted by Bill Tower, Tom Hill, Dave McLellan and Ken Kayser, Motor City's finest engineers who were part of the team originally responsible for making the Corvette what it is today. They were impressed to see a meticulous, integrated application of aerodynamic components on the FC 6 and knocked out by the modest choice of supercharger to complement the ample stock power plant; after all, they helped invent the 'tickle of thrust'. Gloating over the modified interior, the plush seating and leather appointments gave them satisfaction that driving would provide luxurious neck-snapping pleasure. You could tell their desire was to get behind the wheel to feel the real deal. It is because of these few FC 6 subtleties that one might wind up in critical care and possibly so. Play it safe, George and his Fabulous Team offer driving lessons.
