Generosity Inspires Responsible Individuals
The Boys and Girls Club of Broward County Florida 44th Annual Auction was a huge success with a turnout of over 600 of South Florida's Who's Who at The Hollywood Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. This year, Boys and Girls Club members teamed up with the Bruce Rossmeyer's Harley Davidson mechanics to restore a 1986, Harley 883 Sportster.  Many kid hours and tech time went into the project.  Adding a bit of pizzazz to the assignment, Fabulous Restorations owner, George Haddad, was called upon to handle the special paint and bodywork necessary to bring the finishing touch of glory to the masterpiece and oh, what a work of art, giving birth to an extraordinary form of transportation; motorcycle and sidecar, fully restored and ideal for auction.  The 2-piece unit was fashioned in a jet black, tri-color metal flake, with sizzling hot airbrushed flames and intricate pin striping detail provided by The Fabulous Restorations experts who donated their time to assure top dollar; and that it did!  There was enough stir in the crowd to blow the roof off the place when the final bid was hollered out, a whopping $100,000, to win the cool bike and sidecar.  It was an eventful evening, one that will bring great joy to The Boys and Girls Club; a hard act to follow next year when it starts all over again.
